- Make sure your gym bag has washable fabrics. Check the washing instructions on the label. Avoid washing leather.
- Clean out every pocket, corner, and crevice.
- Turn the gym bag inside out.
- Remove, cinch or tie up straps to prevent them from getting tangled.
- Put the dirty gym bag in a mesh washing bag. This minimizes damage to your washing machine.
- Toss mesh bag in the wash with towels of a similar color to prevent color bleed or lint balls.
- Wash gym bag on regular cycle with HEX Detergent and cold water only. The cold water is important because fabrics like canvas can shrink up in hot water.
- After washing, reshape the bag as best you can. Use towels or newspaper to help dry hold its shape while it dries.
- Leave out to air dry. Do not put your gym bags in the dryer!
- Love your gym bag again.
